Attaching a Box Scraper to a Kubota BX2230 |
The following video details the general steps involved in attaching a Box Scraper to the tractor. The tractor shown is a Kubota BX2230 and the box scraper is a 48" model from Woods.
Note that the description and video below are a general overview of how to attach an implement to a tractor's three point hitch. Be sure to consult the owners manual for your respective equipment to determine the proper procedures for your particular situation.
The first step is to move the tractor and/or implement into position. Where possible, we try to keep out implements and attachments on wheeled dollies which allows us to store items out of the way and aids in hooking them up to the tractor. A wheeled movers dolly works well for our 48" box scraper. These wheeled dollies can be found at most home centers and hardware stores and are available in various sizes. Another option is build custom dollies to fit your particular need.
Once everything is in position, the next step is to remove the necessary pins and adjust the lift arms to the proper height. The ends of the lift arms slide over the pins attached to the box scraper and are held in place by locking pins. Once the lower lift arms are attached, the toplink is adjusted to the proper length to insert a pin through the mounting holes on box scraper and the toplink itself. The final step is to adjust the stabilizers for the lift arms are secure them in place.
